Mr. Benny To, chief HR consultant of HRDirect and founder and chief consultant of ComplianceDirect, is a seasoned compliance professional with many years of compliance experience in banking industry and securities industry. His last position was the Head of Compliance and Privacy Officer for the private wealth management business of Royal Bank of Canada Financial Group (RBC) which includes a sizeable securities and futures brokerage firm providing services to high networth cash and margin clients and private banking business in Hong Kong and Singapore. He also possesses abundant working experience and knowledge in private banking, corporate banking, retail banking, securities & futures brokerage and a financial regulator. He worked in reputable banks such as RBC, Citibank, Coutts, BNY Mellon, Bank of East Asia and also the HKMA in his career.
He is also a part-time lecturer of the Hong Kong Institute of Securities and Investment (HKSI) and the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) conducting advanced courses on compliance and AML/CTF. He is also one of the recognized lecturers for the accreditation of professional wealth management courses and approved trainer for certain CPD programmes accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).
